Eight choices. No account needed. Take your time.
A suggested match is a first introduction. Learn how a bond forms in the trial.
The eight-question dragon match quiz explores how you judge a risk, act under pressure, keep a promise, and work with others. Your answers suggest one of four original dragons. This is a playful introduction to our island world; it does not measure your personality or promise a trial outcome.
Looking for a Fourth Wing dragon quiz? This is an independent alternative with eight original questions and our own dragon companions. For a fan quiz about dragons from the books, visit Empyrean Riders. For the official adventure, read our Dragonkind game guide.
Rill pays attention to judgment and follow-through. Bracken values cooperation and a reliable return. Mica responds to prepared courage. Vesper looks for a shared signal and the willingness to try a new way forward.
Each question presents a situation and four possible responses. Select the action you would take, then continue. Your choices build an affinity across judgment, courage, commitment and cooperation. The result gives the leading tendencies and a suggested dragon, rather than a random draw. You can go back to change an earlier answer, retake the quiz, or save the finished match to the guide.
Try to answer the situation as a whole. A brave response is not always the fastest action, and a cooperative response is not always the safest one. The quiz has no clinical or scientific personality claim. Identical answers produce an identical suggestion in this version; changing your choices can point toward a different companion.
A saved quiz match is a discovery, not a completed bond. To earn one, play the independent Threshing Day game alternative. There, equipment and encounter choices have consequences. You can restore the beacon yet return unbound, or lose the safe repair window and withdraw. These trial rules are ours; they do not describe the official Dragonkind algorithm or the novels’ dragon types.
You can save the suggested match to your dragon field guide. A formed bond is earned separately in the flight trial, where equipment, routes, rescue choices, and your return all matter. Visit Dragon Bonding home to choose an experience.
The quiz suggests a companion based on eight answers. Saving that suggestion records an affinity match in your field guide; it does not create a trial bond. A formed bond comes from the separate Flight Trial, where your equipment, rescue, signals and return must earn the encountered dragon’s trust. You can complete the beacon mission without being chosen.
Rill, Bracken, Mica and Vesper are four original companions with distinct habitats and ways of building trust. They are not the named dragons from Fourth Wing or a color-and-tail collection from Dragonkind. The quiz points toward one of these four characters and explains the tendencies behind that suggestion. Their field-guide pages let you learn more before trying a route.
No. Each answer adds to judgment, courage, commitment or cooperation. The match considers a dragon’s primary tendency and then its secondary tendency. Ties use a consistent order, so the same eight answers always produce the same suggestion in this version. There is no random draw, rarity system or hidden chance of failure in the quiz.
Yes. Use the back control while answering to revisit an earlier question, select a different response and continue. After the result, choose “Try the quiz again” and confirm to begin a fresh set of answers. A changed answer can change the match, but a similar balance can still point to the same dragon. Retaking the quiz does not erase completed trial records.
No. The quiz introduces a possible companion; the flight route determines your trial encounter. Bring the tools needed to reach the route you want and read the dragon’s field notes. For example, the warm-rock route needs a wind-reading lens. Your choices during the encounter decide whether that dragon accepts cooperation, independently of your earlier quiz match.
It is free to play in your browser without an account, email address or download. No knowledge of Fourth Wing is needed: every question describes an original island situation with four possible actions. Progress and saved matches stay in this browser when local storage is available. Clearing browser storage removes those local records, and they do not automatically sync across devices.
