A field note from the storm islands

Vesper

Wind towers · Gale habitat

Vesper follows the currents that curl around the abandoned wind towers. Its long lavender sails catch even a slight change. It repeats a useful signal and waits for a response, curious about a new route but unwilling to fly without agreement.

How to read the encounter

Compare the old records with the present wind. Make your signals something both of you understand.

The wind tower route can bring you to Vesper. Equipment and rescue choices change what happens before you meet. An introduction, an affinity match, and a formed bond are different things: Vesper decides whether to accept your return signal.

A choice worth noticing

The wind tower preserves an old signal pattern. Vesper is interested in what two travelers can communicate together, and in what a recovered record can tell you about the current wind.
